About St. James Parish
Founded in 1918, St. James is the parish church
for the city of Hopewell, Virginia. Located close
to downtown, St. James is actively involved in
ministry to the community.
The church has several opportunities for those wanting
to get involved. Choices include a book study group,
adult education, choir, ministry to those who
are homebound, and much more.

Almighty God
My parish is composed of people like me.
I help to make it what it is.

ROOF REPLACEMENT FUND
Circumstances dictated that we replace the school’s roof and also the two sacristy flat roofs right away.
The total cost for this was $57,612.00. Everyone’s financial help is needed to cover this unexpected expense.
***As of this date we have received $46,459.00***
Balance to collect: $11,153.00
We thank the 459 families who have generously contributed to this fund. If you want to contribute to the roof fund,
Special envelopes labeled “Roof Fund” are available in the pews or you can mail your contribution to the parish office.
