About Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School and the Corporate Work Study Program
Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School (www.cristoreytampa.org) is a Catholic college preparatory high school that serves young men and women in grades 9 – 12. The school welcomed its inaugural freshman class in 2016, has grown to 212 students today, with an expectation to grow to 350 students. Cristo Rey Tampa is sponsored by the Salesians of Don Bosco (www.salesians.org). The campus is located on the Mary Help of Christians Center in Tampa, a 140-acre Salesian-owned property. One hundred percent of Cristo Rey Tampa students participate in the Corporate Work Study program. The school’s 73 Corporate Partners report that 94% of their student workers “meet or exceed expectations.”

About the Cristo Rey Network
Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School part of the Cristo Rey Network of 38 high schools located throughout the U.S. By bringing schools, businesses, and communities together the Network opens doors for students from families of limited economic resources to fulfill their dreams. Cristo Rey schools empower student formation through the integration of rigorous college preparatory academics, four years of professional work experience, support to and through college, and Catholic educational values. Cristo Rey students earn money towards their own private education through the Corporate Work Study program.

About the Position
The President/CEO will lead the school community in four primary areas: spiritual leadership, academic and work study excellence, financial strength, and external engagement. The role is largely external facing and forward looking. S/He will be a high-profile ambassador for the school in Tampa’s business, philanthropic, and faith communities. S/He will focus on community engagement, strategic planning, organizational development, fundraising, and financial sustainability.

The President/CEO will inspire organizational and professional confidence from a wide variety of stakeholders. The President/CEO will be hired by and report to, Cristo Rey Tampa High School’s Board of Directors. S/He will lead a team that includes the following direct reports: Principal, Development Director, Vice President of Corporate Work Study, Director of Campus Ministry, Director of Admissions, and Director of Finance & Operations. S/He will work closely with the Director of the Mary Help of Christians Center. Other stakeholder groups with whom the President/CEO will be expected to maintain strong relationships include the Salesians of Don Bosco, Cristo Rey Network, Diocese of St. Petersburg, faculty/staff, students and parents, donors, and the Tampa community.

Professional Qualifications and Personal Qualities
• Practicing Catholic who is comfortable articulating how social justice is a manifestation of her/his faith
• Articulate and inspirational communicator
• Management experience, including team building and staff development
• Fundraising and business development
• Networking and relationship-building, both internal and external
• Experience working with communities with limited economic resources
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
